People often ask about company names that are in the process or being deregistered or already out of business.
The answer is that =10ptthe status must apparently be flagged as “Final Deregistration” for the name to eventually become available. =10ptOnce set to this status, a grace period of 6 months is provided before the name can be claimed.
You will need to contact CIPC themselves to apply for the name, as the CIPC system will just flag it as reserved.

It depends if the company was trading at the time of deregistration. You have to prove to CIPC that it was trading. This is if in Final Deregistration, if “in progress”, you just pay the outstanding fees and penalties and you are ready to do business.

my cc is flagged as AR FINAL DEREGISTRATION. after registering it I didn’t get businesses, so it hasn’t been functioning all these years. What will be the best option? to either register a new cc or re-register the current cc as I have a job now and dont have time to wait for all documents that will need to be supplied just to prove that the company wasn’t making money.
please helpYou cannot reinstate a company that is Final Deregistration, unless you pro=ve that the company was trading at the time of deregistration. You would have to register a new business.

I would start by reporting it to CIPC – http://www.cipc.co.za or call on 086100 2472.
The step thereafter would be to open a case with the SA Police.
How I can proceed or apply to stop a company from deregistering . This company is registered in SouthAfrica. The founder has requested deregistering the company end of December 2020. This company has scammed me and many others.please assist and advise. Thank you
