    Hi

I would start by reporting it to CIPC – http://www.cipc.co.za or call on 086100 2472.

The step thereafter would be to open a case with the SA Police.

You cannot reinstate a company that is Final Deregistration, unless you pro=ve that the company was trading at the time of deregistration. You would have to register a new business.

    Hi

It depends if the company was trading at the time of deregistration. You have to prove to CIPC that it was trading. This is if in Final Deregistration, if “in progress”, you just pay the outstanding fees and penalties and you are ready to do business.

    Hi Lee & Thamka

There are many aspects that change the way you need to handle a deregistered company.

    1. What is the exact current status of the company? Is it “In Progress” or “Final”?
    2. Was the company trading at the time of deregistration?

    Let us know.

    Hello Johan

    Sorry for the late reply.

I would suggest re-instating the company to get that sorted out, as changing the company for the deeds may be a real uphill battle.

I would strongly suggest you take all the paperwork and correspondence you have and visit the CIPC offices in Sunnyside.

Unfortunately we cannot help in this regard.

    Hi

You will need to contact CIPC first and resolve the deregsiatrtion of the company before you can pay the annual returns.

Hi, Can you help, I did a company search yesterday on Benbesite reg 1985/000118/23 and it shows an error message and says to contact help@ciproza.co.za. The company does exist per your name search facility and I am now confused. How do I get this information? Notwithstanding the apparent error the cost has been deducted from my account. Can you help?

Scan and email the following documents to resetpassword@cipc.co.za, indicating your customer code

A signed letter, preferably on a company letterhead, requesting the customer code or password be reset.

A certified copy of your ID.

Updated e-mail address and cell phone numbers are of special importance for communication purposes. Enterprises should ensure that CIPC are always kept up to date with the latest company information.

Log in on the CIPC Home page by clicking on Customer login.
In the top left corner of the screen, click on customer name displayed.

This will display the customer profile information.

    Review all information and update.

To change the name of a CC, form CoR 9.1 must be submitted. Once the name is approved, form CK2 must be submitted together with the approved name reservation and certified ID copies of all members and of the applicant.

No, after the implementation of the new Companies Act (Act 71 of 2008) no CC can be registered and no conversions from Companies to CCs will be allowed. However, the existing CCs will be maintained.

CIPC approved a separate name change process to be followed in instances where the company registration was done without a name reservation and awarded a registration number as the name of the company. The company in question will need to apply for a relevant name reservation and lodge the necessary name change application documentation with CIPC, the name change process will be free of charge.

Requirements for waived fee to be applicable is as follows:
Only companies with its registration number as its name can make this change once, avoiding the R250 amendment fee.

    Required documentation:
COR15.2 (completed & signed by active director / company secretary)
Copy of resolution confirming approval of the name change
Copy of approved name reservation – COR9.4
Copy of certified ID of COR form signatory
Customer code to be clearly visible on the COR form for tracking purposes

    Hi,

I did a free search on company 2017/075934/07 and was informed that the company exists. I then made a payment and did a paid search only to be told that the company does not exist. Please would you forward me the company details or refund me for the failed search.
